Collectable Royal Doulton Kingsware Hogarth Jug / Pitcher.
The motto on the jug reads:
"it is hard for an empty bag, to stand upright".
Approximately 6 1/4" in height.
In good condition with no chips, cracks or restoration, there is the odd area of surface wear and there is some crazing as is typical with these pieces.
